| It’s that time of the year when everyone is in the mood for witch and zombie cuisine. Treat your family and friends to a ghoulish-ous Halloween meal with these recipes. |
Creepy Crawly Patties- Pre-cooked hamburger patties
- Spanish Olives
- Pretzel sticks
- Hamburger buns
With a parent’s help, turn on the stove or grill to medium heat. Grill hamburger patties until they reach a dark brown color. Prepare your hamburger to your liking using your favorite toppings. To disguise your burger as a creepy insect, you will need to create eyes and legs for your burger. To create the eyes, set aside two pretzel sticks for each of the hamburgers. Place one olive at the end of each pretzel stick. Stick the pretzel sticks into the top of the bun so that they look like insect eyes. For the legs, simply take six pretzel sticks and stick three in each side of the burger bun. Serve your creepy crawly burger with green tortilla chips for an extra creepy look. |

Eerie Witches Brew- 2 quarts apple juice
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- Dry ice and cheesecloth
- Gummy worms
Begin by boiling the apple juice in a pot and adding the cinnamon and cloves. After boiling, drain the apple juice in a strainer to remove the cinnamon sticks and clove. Return the juice to the stove so that you can add the orange juice, lemon juice and brown sugar. Stir thoroughly. Bring to a boil once more, and then remove from heat. Let cool. |

To give your witches brew an eerie fog, wrap a chunk of dry ice in cheesecloth and place it at the bottom of your punch bowl. Pour your punch over the cheesecloth. For a finishing touch, hang gummy worms over the side of the punch bowl. |
