Music reporters get to meet their favorite singers and bands...and they get paid to do so! Latinitas is inviting any girl in 7th, 8th and 9th grades to join us for a week of Get Your Backstage Pass! Spring Break Camp at the Latinitas Office (1107 S. 8th Street, Austin TX), March 15-19, 9am-5pm daily. Campers will be interviewing local musicians, starting a music blog, creating their own radio show, learning what it takes to be a vee-jay, producing their own music channel, while also learning web and graphic design, video production. $125 for the week, discounts for families and limited scholarships available. Calling all aspiring female journalists. Latinitas is hosting a week-long summer camp for high school girls with intensive instruction from media producers and university professionals. As part of the camp, your work will be published on TeenLatinitas.com. During the camp, you will complete an article, photo essay, audio segment and a video broadcast. The cost for the week-long camp is $25 which covers supplies and snacks. A limited number of scholarships are available. Pre-registration is required.
