FERIA PARA APRENDER EVENT

Over 10,000 children and parents are expected to attend the fourth annual Feria Para Aprender on Saturday, February 6th at the Travis County Expo Center. This learning fair connects students and parents to important community resources to help them be successful in school and to make plans to attend college. Feria Para Aprender will feature more than 100 exhibits by school districts, non-profits, colleges, universities, and scholarship groups. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS

Latinitas after school programs are looking for volunteers interested in donating 2-3 hours per week between the hours of 3 and 6pm. Clubs take place every day of the week in Austin, Kyle and San Marcos. No training necessary. Call Brooke Maudlin if interested: 210.535.2765 or email her at brooke@latinitasmag azine.org.

ASSIST WITH TRIP PROGRAM

Latinitas leads a teen advisory board twice a month at their offices. We are looking for adult volunteers interested in helping with this group. The group of 10 high school students work on media projects such as the publishing of a cook book, making public service announcements, writing for our magazines and more. GRAPHIC DESIGN TEAM/COMMITTEE

DELIVERING FLYERS

LATINITAS LATINA ICONS FASHION SHOW COMMITTEE

Latinitas held their first Latina Icons fashion show last year and it was a hit. 200 parents and supporters attended and volunteers assisted with planning, fundraising, hair and make up and more.
